Pancreatic Cancer continues to appear in the list of the deadliest cancers affecting Western NSW. Government data shows that while the prevalence of different cancers varies from town to town, Pancreatic is the second biggest cancer killer in Blayney and the fifth biggest in Dubbo.

New statistics revealed on cancer survival rates

The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare last week released new statistics on cancer survival rates. Incredibly, in just a few decades survival from all cancers broadly has increased from 49% to 69% (based on 5-year relative survival rate, comparing the period 1985-89 with 2010-14).
