The 2020 Collaborative Research Grants will be open for applications this November

We are pleased to announce our new Collaboration Grants will be open for applications in November. The PanKind Collaboration Grants aim to encourage new ideas, build the capacity of Australian pancreatic cancer research and find new, more effective treatments to improve outcomes for patients.

Due to the impact of COVID-19, we believe it is more important than ever to provide opportunities and support to pancreatic cancer researchers in Australia. “We are pleased to enable talented researchers to collaborate in the area of pancreatic cancer to have a greater impact, thanks to the support of our generous donors. Improving survival for patients will require collaboration from many groups on numerous levels including funding, advocacy and research,” said Michelle Stewart, PanKind CEO.

Collaboration Grant - $300k over 2 years
The Collaboration Grant aims to provide funding to Australian researchers to participate in collaborative research projects. This grant also encourages cross-disciplinary collaboration, between pancreatic cancer research groups and other specialities, for example, immunotherapy, nanotechnology, genomics and bioinformatics.

As part of our robust process in awarding grant funding, applications will be assessed by our internationally recognised Scientific Advisory Panel. Chair of the PanKind Scientific Advisory Panel, Ross McKinnon, said "collaboration grants often result in highly innovative ideas as researchers explore new collaborations across disciplines. Australia has some of the world’s strongest pancreatic cancer researchers and we are expecting an extremely high calibre of collaborative applications."

The 2020 Collaborative Research Grants will be open for applications this November and close in February 2021. Two Collaboration Grants will be offered and further details and eligibility criteria will be
available soon from our website.

Innovation and Accelerator grants will not be offered in 2020.
